Welcome to the home of the Shelby County Legislative Delegation. The purpose of this office is to act as a liaison between the public, governmental agencies and the nine elected state legislators from Shelby County, Alabama. The office also coordinates administrative functions and meetings of the Legislative Delegation, assists the public with information about other state agencies, and provides the public with information on the statutes of Alabama Legislation.
The purpose of this website is to give the constituents of Shelby County an easier, faster and more efficient mode of communicating with their legislators. By offering information about the Legislative Process, each member of the delegation, and how you can be more involved we hope to increase Shelby Counties awareness of its Legislative Delegation. This site will be continually updated with news and information about past, current, and future legislation making Shelby County the most informed in the state of Alabama.

Predictability. It’s a nice word; simple, easy, and painless. But it’s also unbelievably boring. Think about it, if you knew what was about to happen in your favorite drama series on television, it wouldn’t be very fun to watch. In fact, it would probably stop being your favorite show rather quickly. Well, welcome to week two in the Alabama Legislature. Also known as, The Broken Record. Okay, fine, I made that up. But it sure does fit.
